*VACANCY FOR THE POST OF SENIOR EXECUTIVE – FINANCE & ACCOUNTS*

Position: Senior Executive – Finance & Accounts

Experiences & Qualifications:  

• Full or part qualification in CIMA / CA
• Knowledge of Month end accounting & MIS
• Experience & knowledge of VAT/SVAT would be an added advantage
• *Relevant experience of 3 years or more from mercantile (FMCG) sector is desirable*.
• Good communication in English would be an added advantage.
• Candidate should have the right aptitude and willing to work with a long-term vision provided found competent and trustworthy.
• Joining at the earliest would be an added advantage.

Salary range:  85K

Work Location: Colombo 02 

Working Days:   Weekdays (9.00am – 5.30pm)

Job Role:

• Monitoring daily communications and answering any queries of the sales team
• Recording and filing daily sales credit card & cash transactions.
• Calculation of all taxes and submission of tax returns (VAT, SSCL, SVAT, STAMP DUTY, WHT)
• Processing & filing daily payments, posting supplier invoices and verifying the accuracy of the sales invoices posted within expected time periods
• Process TT payments & obtain required clearance from the IRD
• Maintain company ledgers, daily bank statements, Account payable report, Account Receivable report with monthly transactions
• Liaising with third party providers, suppliers, IRD & Banks.
• Create daily reports for management and team members
• Monitoring daily communications and answering any queries of the sales team
• Prepare monthly bank, credit card & GL reconciliations
• Assist to prepare monthly management accounts
• Create daily/ Weekly reports for management and team as required
• Assist in preparing MIS & any Ad hoc reports & analysis
