Vacancy for the Post of Currier Manager

Main Duties and Responsibilities 

• Managing the Courier department and ensuring smooth running of day-to-day operations. 

• Supervising the Courier department staff, ensuring they are reaching goals and deadlines set by the department and management. 

• Ensure a high standard of service delivery through daily operations. 

• Manages and builds working relationships with company customers, government authorities and agencies, service providers, contractors etc. 

• Propose initiatives to attract new customers 

• Provide leadership, guidance and support to the team. 

• Train and motivate staff. 

• Ensure that targets/goals/objectives set for the department are met, including achieving financial targets. 

• Provide quarterly reports on the performance of the department to management and to the Board of Directors. 

• Carry out administrative tasks e.g., approving invoices for payment, approving cheque requests, staff matters, etc. 

• Manage agreements with our international and local courier partners; 

• Ensure that ISO standard operating procedure (SOP) is adhered to by department staff. 

• Focus upon the future of the company by assisting the Board to ensure the company has the capacity to provide the human and physical resources necessary to carry out its mission and vision statements and make recommendations to the Board to adapt to changing circumstances. 

Qualification: 

• Degree in business administration or management with at least four years’ experience in the related field 

• Demonstrated leadership abilities 

• Strong organizational and communications skills 

• Detailed-oriented and focused 

• Familiarity with courier procedures 

• Excellent proficiency in English  both written and spoken; 

• Exceptional computer skills; Microsoft Outlook, Word & Excel. • Understanding of refunds and returns procedures 

• Willingness to work shifts and be flexible with work hours. 

Salary: Negotiable
